Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Must obtain CDL and bus driver certificate.
• Experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives bus on school routes following schedules; may adjust routes for weather.
• Maintains discipline and safety; reports rule violations to authorities.
• Keeps bus clean and enforces rider rules.
• Performs bus inspections and notifies supervisor of maintenance needs.
• Reports accidents or delays; communicates with dispatcher as needed.
• Explains rider rules to students; attends driver inservice meetings.
• Complies with school bus regulations and traffic laws.
