Job summary

CenClear is seeking a School Support Therapist to provide high-quality counseling to students and families within the Punxsutawney Area School District. You will collaborate with school staff to support social, emotional, and behavioral learning needs.

The role may include outpatient clinical work at CenClear offices. A licensed eligible candidate with a graduate degree and practicum is preferred, with opportunities for licensure supervision and professional development.

Qualifications

• Licensed Eligible to practice in PA.
• Graduate degree from an accredited program with a clinical practicum.
• Foreign degree evaluated for equivalency if applicable.
• Licensed in a clinical discipline with mental health experience.

Responsibilities

• Work 37.5 hours per week (9-month salaried calendar, ~191 days).
• Work at the Punxsutawney Area School District high school campus.
• Potential outpatient service work at CenClear offices.
• Provide behavioral and mental health therapy and case management.

About the Role:

As a School Support Therapist, you will provide high-quality counseling services to students, supporting them and their families in navigating social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that may affect learning and development. You'll partner closely with school staff and district teams to ensure students and educators receive the comprehensive support they need.

What You'll Do:

• Work 37.5 hours per week. This is a 9-month salaried position following the school district's calendar (approximately working 191 days per year)
• This position will work within the high school located in the Punxsutawney Area School District
• In addition to school hours, there is a possible opportunity to provide outpatient services at one of CenClear's outpatient offices
• Provide behavioral and therapeutic support to students using a variety of treatment approaches, including the family systems model.

What We're Looking For:

• Licensed Eligible
• Has a graduate degree from a college or university that is accredited by an agency recognized by the United Stated Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education (CHEA) in a generally recognized clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinical practicum; or
• Has an equivalent degree form a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) or the National Association credential Evaluation Services (NACES). The Department will accept a general equivalency report from the listed evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency; or
• Is licensed in a generally recognized clinical discipline that includes mental health clinical experience. (55 Pa. Code § 5200.3. Definitions)

• Must obtain the following clearances priorto hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, Mandated Reporting Certificate, and complete Arrest/Conviction Report and certification form (under Act 24 of 2011 and Act 82 of 2012)
