Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a school-based program in Killeen, TX. The SLPA will work under the direction of a Speech Language Pathologist, performing clinical and educational activities, documentation, and treatment tasks within the plan of care.

Ideal candidates have an SLPA associate degree or a BA in SLP/communication disorders, current licensure, and prior SLPA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program.
• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice
• One year of prior SLPA experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services in a school setting.
• Engage in clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment activities within the plan of care.
• Maintain compliance with professional standards and state requirements
