Job summary

Northview Public Schools is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a .8 to potentially 1.0 FTE position in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The role supports students with communication disorders through comprehensive assessments, IEP collaboration, and targeted therapy within the school setting.

The SLP will provide evidence-based interventions, monitor progress, and work with teachers, administrators and families to promote effective communication and academic success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) is required.
• State licensure and certification as an SLP.
• Experience or coursework in pediatric speech-language pathology.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate students to identify communication disorders.
• Participate in IEP development and meetings.
• Provide individual or group therapy for speech and language goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and other professionals.
• Educate parents/caregivers on therapy goals and strategies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and best practices.
