Job summary

West Ottawa Public Schools in Michigan is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist to evaluate and support speech-language development for students under the IEP. The role involves completing evaluations, planning, and direct service delivery in collaboration with educators and families.

Qualifications

• Must be certified and licensed in the state of Michigan.
• Early childhood experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA and Michigan Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of students in response to special education referrals.
• Participate in educational planning and consultation in the schools.
• Provide speech and language services to special education students as assigned on the IEP.
• Effectively communicate, consult, and team with parents, staff, agencies and others.
• Perform appropriate action in response to referrals of special education students.
• Adhere to West Ottawa's policies, procedures and practices.
• Complete assigned responsibilities within agreed-upon or established timelines.
• Continue to acquire professional knowledge and learn current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops, or professional development meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
