Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for school settings to evaluate students and provide therapy per each student’s plan of care. The role includes documentation and coordination with healthcare and school staff.

Active state licensure as an SLP is required; CCC-SLP is preferred and may be contractually required. CPR, TB/PPD and health certifications may apply, and all regulatory requirements must be met.

Qualifications

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of assignment is required.
• CCC-SLP certification is preferred and may be required by state/contract.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs student evaluations and provides therapy services in the school setting.
• Documents therapy sessions and maintains the plan of care for each student.

Job description

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders.

Minimum Requirements

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
