Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to work in a school setting. You will evaluate students and provide therapy services, documenting progress in accordance with each plan of care and physician orders.

Minimum requirements include active SLP licensure in the state of assignment; CCC-SLP is preferred and may be required by state/contract. Additional credentials such as CPR, TB screening, and health certificate may be required by state or contract.

Qualifications

• Active licensure as SLP in the state of assignment is required.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred and may be required by state/contract.
• CPR certification and health screenings (TB/ chest x-ray) may be required by state or contract.

Responsibilities

• Perform student evaluations and develop appropriate therapy plans.
• Provide and document therapy services according to plan of care and physician orders.
• Maintain accurate records and progress notes per district policy.

Job description

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders.

Minimum Requirements

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
