Job summary

Gallup-McKinley County Schools is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to support students within the EDC/SES program. Multiple positions available; full-time schedule 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week, for a 203-day contract.

Candidates must have a MA degree and NM SLP licensure; level classifications I–III with salary ranges from $63,814 to $89,388 depending on experience and level. The role involves assessment, therapy planning, and collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles and techniques of communication disorders and their assessment.
• Ability to diagnose speech language problems and develop intervention strategies.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Must hold MA degree and NM SLP license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer assessments for suspected speech language impairment.
• Develop therapy programs and materials to remediate delays.
• Deliver services in individual, group, or consult models.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to plan treatment.
• Maintain documentation and reports for student progress.
• Ensure safety and appropriate care during treatment.
