Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to support K-2 students with special needs in a school near Arlington Heights, IL. The caseload is small (9 students), allowing focused, individualized attention and meaningful impact on each child’s growth.

On-site only, with a regular seven hours per week schedule. Illinois SLP license and PEL in good standing required; CFs encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver speech and language therapy to a small caseload of 9 students.

• Collaborate with educators, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Attend orientation and follow the school calendar for the year.
• Complete all documentation and reporting in a timely manner.
• Apply evidence-based practices to help students reach goals.

Job description

This contract-based position offers a unique chance to contribute as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an engaging school environment near Arlington Heights, IL. With a small caseload of nine students, youll have the time and focus to make a measurable difference in each childs growth.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Hold an active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) in good standing (be prepared to provide a screenshot as proof)
• Credentials can be verified online through the states license and educator portals
• Previous experience as a school-based SLP preferred; however, strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply
• Ability to work part-time, onsite only (remote work is not available for this role)
• Comfortable serving a Kindergarten through 2nd-grade population

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to a small caseload (9 students), carefully planning and documenting interventions
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Attend new hire orientation (August 12-14) and follow the school calendar for the 2026-2027 academic year
• Complete all documentation and reporting requirements in a timely manner
• Use evidence-based practices to help students achieve communication goals
