Job summary

AHS Staffing is seeking a travel School Speech Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Golden, Colorado. This role supports elementary through middle and high school students with significant support needs, in a comprehensive, in-person setting across SSN Center and other centers.

Expect 37.5 hours/week, 12-hour day shifts, ASAP start, for 13 weeks. You'll work with a dedicated team, receive competitive pay, housing allowance, licensure reimbursements, and weekly pay while providing

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech pathology or communications disorders.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• ASHA certification or eligibility is required.
• CDE Special Services Provider license with endorsement in Speech Therapist/SLP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education/treatment programs for students.
• Provide evidence-based speech-language interventions in school settings.
• Assess speech and language skills and collaborate on IEP goals with teachers.
• Train and support team members in communication interventions.
• Communicate progress with school staff, parents, and students when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manages and organizes specialized materials, equipment and environment essential to the speech and language program
• Provides educationally related communication intervention for students disabled by disorders of language, speech or hearing in a variety of settings as appropriate
• Assesses speech and language skills of students suspected of having a communication disorder and consults with teachers in developing IEP goals and objectives
• Provides resources, modeling strategies and training to other team members in communication interventions
• Communicates regularly the results of individual student assessment and progress with involved school staff (special and general education), parents and where appropriate the student
