Base pay range

$44.00/hr - $75.00/hr

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders, including speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in school-aged children. The SLP will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure students achieve their educational goals. No IEP meetings and only yearly report writing per student.

Duration: Immediate – 07/2026

Location: Contracts located in the Bronx or Manhattan (whichever is more convenient)

Hours: 30-33 hours on average, a few facilities are 40 hours

Pay range: $42-75.73 per hour on a local contract

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Diagnosis:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.

Intervention and Treatment:

  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.

Collaboration and Consultation:

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other school personnel to support student communication needs in the classroom.
  • Educate and provide resources to parents and caregivers to support carryover of skills at home.
  • Consult with multidisciplinary teams regarding student progress and classroom accommodations.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Limited documentation! No IEP meetings, only yearly report per student.
  • Ensure timely submission of required paperwork and adherence to district, state, and federal guidelines.
Qualifications:

Education and Licensure:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid NY State licensure and registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • A Teaching Students with Speech-Language Disabilities (TSSLD) Certificate.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred. CF accepted.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and work with students for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift materials and equipment up to 25 lbs.
