RCM Health Care Services is actively recruiting School Based Mental Health Professionals to provide direct counseling, crisis support, and behavioral interventions for students in Aurora Public Schools, Colorado.

The role collaborates with families and staff, manages student casework, and helps integrate emotional supports into the classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Licensure in Colorado or eligible candidate status in a mental health field.
• Experience with crisis de-escalation and MTSS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy during school hours.
• Participate in IEP and student support team meetings.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes and document progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and community agencies.
• Assess and manage safety risks and report abuse/neglect as required by law.

School Based Mental Health Professional

RCM Healthcare Services is currently hiring School Based Mental Health Professionals/School Social Workers to provide direct counseling, crisis support, and behavioral interventions to students in Aurora Public Schools in Colorado. The successful candidate will collaborate with families and staff, manage student casework, and help integrate emotional supports into the educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Therapeutic Interventions: Provide individual, group, and family therapy or counseling during school hours
• Assessments & Planning: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and student support team meetings
• Case Management: Maintain accurate clinical notes, track student progress, and complete required district paperwork
• Collaboration: Partner with teachers, school administrators, parents, and community agencies to link families with outside care
• Crisis Response: Assess and manage safety risks and report high-risk cases or concerns of abuse and neglect per legal guidelines

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field
• Licensure/Certification: Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services License with an endorsement in School Social Work or School Psychology, or clinical licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) or candidate status (SWC, LPCC, LSW)
• Skills: Strong knowledge of crisis de-escalation, behavioral interventions, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS)

School Year – Full Time – Will follow Academic Calendar

$50-$55/hour – based on experience
