Job summary

Partnership with Children seeks a licensed social worker (LMSW) to provide on-site counseling and case management in New York City public schools serving high-need youth. You will collaborate with school staff, engage with the school community, and support students and families in crisis.

Opportunities to supervise social work interns may be available. Ideal candidates have at least one year of school-based experience, strong relationships with students and families, and a flexible,

Qualifications

• Must be NY LMSW.
• Experience in school settings preferred.
• Strong communication with students, families, and school staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling and case management
• Facilitate group counseling (individually or with co-facilitator)
• Collaborate with school administration and staff on needs of students, families and school community
• Integrate into and engage with school culture through development of positive relationships with school community
• Support students and families in crisis
• May have opportunity to supervise social work interns
• Conduct home visits
• Other duties as assigned
