Job summary

Children’s Aid in New York City seeks a Social Worker to join the PS 8 Youth Division. The role implements mental health services in collaboration with the school, serving elementary students and their families to address chronic absenteeism and promote wellbeing.

You will connect families to services, support parent engagement, and participate in supervision, inter-agency meetings, and documentation in our web-based system.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work is required.
• LMSW licensure is required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
• Experience working with elementary school children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Group Work – conduct psycho-educational groups and develop content to respond to participants’ needs.
