Job summary

EDU Healthcare is seeking a full-time, onsite School Social Worker in Michigan to support district partners and directly assist students, families, and staff with social-emotional needs.

The role involves counseling, IEP/504 collaboration, and coordination with educators while adhering to licensing standards. Ongoing CEU and professional development opportunities are provided in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW).
• Active state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker (per state requirements).
• Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families.
• Structured school-based setting with evenings, weekends, and holidays off.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and support services for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans to promote student success.
• Participate in IEP and 504 planning and meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and administrators to support student growth and well-being.
• Serve as a liaison between schools, families, and community resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and licensing requirements.
