Job summary

ServingSchools seeks a dynamic School Social Worker to support student well-being across all grade levels within MSAD #11. The role focuses on school-based social work services, collaboration with educators, families, and community partners to promote positive climates and student success.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Social Work with Maine LCSW and CHRC authorization, and will contribute to IEP planning and data-driven service adjustments to support student growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling or Psychology and Maine Licensure (LCSW) and CHRC authorization.
• Experience partnering with educators, families, and community agencies.
• IEP participation and progress monitoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct student support with individual and group counseling and crisis response.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, service providers, parents, and administrators to implement strategies for student needs.
• Assist with social-emotional learning, behavior support planning, and attendance improvement efforts.
• Maintain accurate records in line with district policies and state/federal regulations.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide data-informed feedback for goal development.
• Conduct regular progress monitoring to adjust services as needed.
