Job summary

ServingSchools in Maine is seeking a licensed School Social Worker to support Behavioral and Life Skills programs, collaborate with teachers, families and community partners, and help implement student support plans and IEP goals. The Successful Candidate Will provide crisis intervention, maintain compliant documentation, and apply trauma-informed practices to promote a safe, inclusive school environment.

Experience in evidence-based social-emotional interventions and the ability to learn

• Must hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work and an active LCSW.

• Assist in the development and implementation of student support plans and IEP goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and support when called upon.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, staff, families and community providers.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work
• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Previous school based experience preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families and school personnel
• Experience providing evidence-based social emotional and behavioral interventions
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed practices and positive behavioral interventions
• Understand/be willing to learn Maine Care billing and provide Ed-Tech supervision (coaching) as required by Maine Care.
