Job summary

Katy ISD CAMPUS SUPPORT DIVISION in Katy, Texas is seeking a Social Worker to join the team. The role provides direct and indirect social work services to students and families, addressing academic, behavioral, mental health and social-emotional needs in collaboration with campus staff and community partners.

Requirements include a CSWE‑accredited MSW, Texas LMSW license, and at least two years of professional experience (school setting preferred).

Qualifications

• CSWE-accredited Master’s degree in social work.
• Texas LMSW licensure in good standing.
• Minimum two years of professional social work experience, school setting preferred.
• Ability to collaborate on a multidisciplinary team with school professionals.
• Knowledge of local, regional, and state community resources.
• Knowledge of the mental health system to assist students and families.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement direct intervention strategies for students, staff and families.
• Assess needs and provide counseling, group work or home-visits as needed.
• Provide case management to students and families requiring intensive support.
• Coordinate services between school and outside community agencies for wraparound support.
• Advocate to ensure adequate school support for student mental health.
• Provide staff development on mental health, trauma‑informed care and social‑emotional support.
