Job summary

EDU Healthcare is seeking a compassionate School Social Worker to provide temporary coverage during a staff member’s leave. The role focuses on supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs while collaborating with educators, administrators, families, and community partners to promote student success.

The position involves counseling, behavior plans, IEP/504 participation, and liaison work with schools and resources, in a structured school setting with regular holidays off.

Qualifications

• MSW required and active state licensure as a School Social Worker
• Experience with children or in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and advocacy skills
• Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and administrators

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and support services for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans and strategies
• Participate in IEP and 504 planning and meetings as needed
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and administrators to support student growth and well-being
• Serve as liaison between schools, families, and community resources
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and licensing requirements
