Job summary

Saint Paul Public Schools in St. Paul, MN seeks a full-time School Social Worker for RiverEast Elem/Secondary.

The 10-month position offers 40 hours per week with benefits, and requires a Bachelor's in Social Work (MSW preferred) plus Minnesota licenses. Responsibilities include assessing students, providing crisis intervention, coordinating with families and school staff, and connecting families to community resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work; MSW strongly preferred.
• Current Minnesota Board of Social Work License and a valid School Social Work License issued by the Minnesota Department of Education.
• Experience with school-based practice is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess student functioning using data from multiple sources.
• Provide social work services to individuals, groups, and families.
• Consult with parents, teachers, and administrators to develop intervention strategies.
• Identify, mobilize and coordinate family, school and community resources.
• Facilitate problem-solving meetings between families and the school.
• Provide crisis intervention services for students.
• Maintain records in a manner consistent with District practices.
• Uphold the ethical standards of the Social Work profession.
