Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a qualified School Social Worker to provide direct services to students, including those with IEPs/504 plans, in a Rosemount, MN area school. Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a School Social Worker.
• Experience working with school-aged children in special education settings.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, counseling, and student support services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and respectful school climate.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social work services to students with IEPs or 504 Plans, ensuring their needs are met in accordance with education goals.
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies tailored to individual and group needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies to facilitate student success and connect resources.
• Support IEP process through documentation, progress monitoring, and active participation in team meetings.
• Promote preventive and therapeutic programs to address bullying, mental health issues, and adjustment challenges.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to ethical and legal standards in all student interactions.
