Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required.
• Master’s degree in social work is required.

• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license and ability to make home visits.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between family, school, and community agencies.
• Conduct home visits and assess students’ educational, social, and physical needs.
• Identify and report abuse or neglect to appropriate agencies.
• Provide intervention services to students and families during crises.
• Identify cultural, ethnic, financial, physical and emotional challenges and provide support.
• Consult with school personnel to address problems affecting progress and well‑being.
• Provide social, personal, and behavioral interventions to students.
• Coordinate with outside service agencies to refer students and families.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct in‑service training on intervention techniques.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal rules.
• Assist with gathering clothing, shoes, and hygiene items.
• May provide transportation for students/families to receive services.
