Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking a Social Worker to support students and families within our school network. This non-exempt hourly role covers 185 days per year, with a starting date of immediately.

The position reports to the Director of Student Support Services and strives to connect families with community resources. Qualifying candidates hold a Master’s in Social Work, with LSW/LCSW eligibility preferred, and strong communication and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work required.
• LSW/LCSW eligible preferred.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Google platforms.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Receives referrals from staff and intervenes using school/community resources.
• Monitors attendance and follows up with families through calls, letters, conferences, and visits.
• Collaborates with teachers and staff to identify at-risk students and coordinate referrals.
• Maintains documentation of referrals and outcomes; uses logs and emails.
• Links students and families to community resources and supports.
