ReNEW Schools is seeking a School Social Worker to serve as the liaison between the school, families, and community organizations, coordinating partnerships that provide mental health services, mentoring, healthcare, housing assistance, food security, and more to remove barriers to student success.

The role includes providing individual and group counseling, participating in MTSS and IEP/504 meetings, conducting risk assessments, and connecting families with resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group counseling for students facing social, emotional, behavioral, or family challenges.
• Participate in MTSS, IEP, 504, attendance, and student support team meetings.
• Conduct risk assessments and respond to student crises, including suicide risk and abuse.
• Connect students and families to appropriate internal and external resources.
• Maintain confidential case notes and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Support students navigating school and community resources.
