Job summary

Crescent Academy is seeking a flexible, supportive, friendly full-time School Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Social Work and valid state licensure as a school social worker.

Experience in a school setting is preferred and the ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and community partners is essential. The School Social Worker will provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, assessments, and intervention planning to support students'

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to students, such as counseling, crisis intervention, and group work
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with school personnel to develop and implement programs that promote a positive school climate and student success
• Consult with teachers, parents, and community agencies to address student needs and concerns
• Provide support and education to families on parenting skills, communication, and community resources
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of services and student progress
• Participate in school-based teams and committees to address student needs and promote initiatives
• Stay current on best practices in school social work and related fields
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and staff
• Ensure regular and predictable attendance
