Job summary

Oakland Human Resources Consortium seeks a Certified School Social Worker with an MSW and MDE approval to join our special education team. The role involves leading FBAs, developing BIPs, and coordinating diagnostic and IEP planning across multiple buildings.

Strong verbal and written communication is essential, with experience in ASD/EI/SXI and crisis support. CPI certification within 30 days of hire and ongoing updates are required.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work with MDE temporary or full approval as a School Social Worker.
• Administer standardized and informal assessments (observations, interviews, etc.).
• Coordinate diagnostic teams and education planning/placement committees; provide sociological assessments for students.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff in completing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs).
• Lead staff in developing and implementing social, affective, and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
• Develop and implement positive behavior support systems.
• Assist staff and families with crisis needs; participate in the KIP team.
• Collaborate with staff and families; write standards-based IEPs with measurable goals.
