Job summary

Ombudsman Educational Services seeks a School Social Worker to support high school students in grades 9–12, providing counseling and essential social-emotional supports. You will collaborate with educators, families, and community partners to develop and implement plans that promote academic and personal growth.

You will bridge home and school connections, manage IEPs/BIPs, and ensure compliant documentation while fostering a safe, inclusive environment that empowers students and staff to

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work required and AZ licensure in good standing.
• AZ IVP clearance or ability to obtain is required.
• AZ SSW credential preferred but not mandatory.
• Crisis management training certification is required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to support social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Develop and update IEPs and BIPs in alignment with regulations.
• Coordinate with teachers, families, and district staff to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication logs for each student.
• Engage in crisis assessments and coordinate interventions with authorities when needed.
• Collaborate with wrap-around services and community partners to coordinate supports.
