School Social Worker
Fall 2025

Hillel Torah North Suburban Day School is seeking a warm and energetic mental health professional to serve as a School Social Worker for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting children, excellent interpersonal skills, and an organized and proactive working style. The School Social Worker serves as a member of a broader student support team. Salary and benefits are commensurate with education and experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with students, parents, teachers, and administrators in grades K-8 to problem solve and support students’ social/emotional and behavioral well-being.
2. Work 1:1 with students with a range of social/emotional challenges.
3. Lead social skills groups.
4. Implement proactive social-emotional programs and curricula.
5. Manage referrals to outside therapeutic services and maintain communication with outside professionals.

Qualifications:

1. 1-3 years work experience with children ages 5-14
2. Experience working in an educational setting
3. Master's Degree
4. Type 73 certificate preferred
