Sylvania seeks a School Social Worker to join our district team. This position requires an MSW and appropriate MDE licensure, with a focus on supporting students within a school setting.

Responsibilities include collaboration with teachers, families, and community partners to address Social-Emotional Learning needs and ensure student access to services. Location is TBD; salary is commensurate with credentials and experience.

Competenze

• Master’s Degree in social work with minimum 500-clock hour practicum.
• MDE temporary/continuing/full approval via Office of Special Education.
• Preferred experience with at-risk urban students and families.
• Experience in community networking and collaborative work.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree from a graduate school social worker program approved by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). This includes a minimum 500-clock hour-supervised social work practicum.
• Temporary approval, continuing temporary approval, or full approval by MDE, Office of Special Education.

Preferred

• Direct experience providing services to at-risk urban students and families
• Experienced in community networking and collaborative work

Salary/Benefits:

Commensurate with credentials and level of experience and in accordance with MPS salary schedule. Full-time with benefit package. Starting range $51,814.00-$75,437.00.
