Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time School Social Worker for a K–12 school setting in Aurora, CO. You’ll support students’ social-emotional well-being, family engagement, and access to learning by providing counseling, crisis support, and collaboration with school teams.

We welcome both new and experienced clinicians. W-2 employment with liability insurance and healthcare benefits are included, along with 401(k) with company match and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field is required.
• Valid Colorado CDE Special Services Provider license with School Social Worker endorsement or eligibility.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and crisis response skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health.
• Assist with crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning.
• Participate in IEP, MTSS, and student support team meetings.
• Conduct assessments related to social-emotional and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.
• Support attendance, engagement, and wraparound services for students and families.
• Develop and implement intervention plans; maintain compliant documentation.
• Connect families to community resources and supports.

What You’ll Do

Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health and social-emotional development

Support crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning as needed

Participate in IEP, MTSS, and student support team meetings

Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers

Support attendance, engagement, and wraparound services for students and families

Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation

What We’re Looking For

Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field

Valid Colorado CDE Special Services Provider license with School Social Worker endorsement (or eligibility by start date)

Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis response skills

School-based experience preferred, not required

Passion for supporting students’ mental health and well-being
