Job summary

TEEM Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a dependable School Caretaker / Site Manager to support the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy school in Oldham.

You will manage upkeep, security, basic repairs, health and safety compliance, and coordinate with contractors to keep the premises safe, clean and fully operational.

This role requires practical, organised individuals who can work independently and as part of the wider school team to welcome pupils, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and safety compliance preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a school team.
• Reliable, practical and proactive approach to duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day upkeep, maintenance and security of the school site, including opening and locking up the premises.
• Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Undertake basic DIY; painting and decorating experience advantageous.
• Keep accurate maintenance and safety records, including compliance and PPM checks.
• Ensure premises are safe, secure and fully operational; identify and address issues promptly.
• Liaise with contractors and oversee on-site works.
