Job Description & RequirementsMediPro is seeking a School Services School Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Tucson, Arizona.
Caseloads are different from public schools whereas they do lots of push in services, rather than 1 on 1; caseloads are higher end. Caseload can get to about 70 is if they are in a crunch, or less if they are fully staffed.
Develops treatment plans, interventions, and/or educational materials for the purpose of meeting individualized student objectives and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide Speech and language services to students with IEPs. The number of students varies depending on workload and possible SLPA support.
Possible supervision of SLPAs with the implementation of speech and language services in the classroom, depending on caseload numbers.
Write and attend MET and IEP meetings as the SLP service coordinator.
Evaluate students in the area of speech and language as determined by the MET team.
Implement communication goals identified on student IEPs
Consults with teachers, parents, other personnel, and/or outside professionals for the purpose of providing requested information, developing plans for services, and/or making recommendations and/or referrals.
Follow school-wide systems, rules, and positive behavior interventions
Deliver services in a classroom integration model
Coach classroom staff and SLPAs on the implementation of speech/communication goals
Support for staff and students with Augmentative Communication Devices
Support classroom curriculum as it relates to language acquisition
Communicate effectively and proactively with students and families
Responsible for paperwork compliance
Accountability for growth and proficiency in IEP goals
Participate in annual and ongoing staff training
Regular and predictable attendance is considered an essential requirement of your position.
