Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a Security Officer to protect students, staff, and property across campuses and events. Duties include patrolling on foot, vehicle, or bicycle, monitoring access, and escorting students as needed.

You will prepare written reports and coordinate with administration and law enforcement to diffuse situations. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of related experience (preferred is criminal justice coursework), and First Aid/CPR

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of related work experience or equivalent.
• First Aid and CPR certifications within 30 days of employment and maintained.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License required.
• Successful completion of Security Officer training prior to end of probationary period.
• Must pass fingerprint and criminal background check.
• Valid DPS Arizona FPCC.

Responsibilities

• Provides highly visible security on foot, vehicle, or bicycle at campuses and events.
• Monitors access, behavior, and incidents; prepares referrals and incident reports.
• Escorts students to and from buildings and maintains safety during crowds.
• Operates two-way radios and monitors surveillance systems.
• Maintains communication with front office, administration, and local authorities.
