Job summary

Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Security Guard Patrol Customer Engagement. You will provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members, conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner.

This full-time role offers a daytime schedule (Mon–Fri 7:00 AM–3:00 PM) at $18.87 per hour, with benefits, training, and growth opportunities. Applicants must be at least 18, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Be able to use a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out site-specific procedures, school policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with established procedures, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities, and communicate information to site leadership and Allied Universal management as required.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
