Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard – Full Time Patrol Technology in Ashburn, VA to protect students, staff, and guests on a campus setting. You will monitor access, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role requires reliability and clear communication with administrators and leadership; the schedule runs 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, with a pay rate of $18.87 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.
• CPR certification and guard card/licensure preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while following security procedures on campus.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events calmly and notify school personnel or emergency responders as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with entry/exit procedures, report unusual conditions to designated personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate security observations to school administrators and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as required by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to designated personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with school administrators, staff, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
