Job summary

Dysart Unified School District is seeking a Grant Funded Security Guard to help protect students, staff and property on campus. The role involves patrolling grounds, monitoring safety practices, and collaborating with faculty to address security concerns.

The position is grant funded, with annual approval, non-exempt status, and a 1.0 FTE across a 195-day work calendar. A valid AZ Class D license and CPR/First Aid are required, along with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Arizona Class D driver's license required.
• Submit to annual and random drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to ensure security of students, visitors, property and equipment.
• Maintains a safe and orderly flow of foot traffic in hallways, on campus and in parking areas; provides public assistance and information.
• Monitors adherence with safety, security and organizational rules; provides warnings and direction when violations occur.
• Monitors school grounds, parking areas, buildings and equipment and reports irregularities, hazards or other safety issues.
