Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in law enforcement, security, emergency planning, social sciences, criminology, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in law enforcement, security, or emergency management.
• Criminal background check required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure learning and working environment for all students and staff through collaboration with public safety agencies and school leadership.
• Support security operations and assist school administrators with ensuring secure learning environments; liaison to law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other first responders.
• Deliver training programs on safety and security issues for school administrators, Campus Safety Monitors, students, staff, and the community.
• Respond to schools 24/7; be on-call after hours and on weekends for emergencies; investigate crimes against students, staff, and district facilities.
• Enforce local, state, and federal laws relating to K-12 security; represent the district in meetings with law enforcement/public safety.
• Assist with threat assessment, emergency planning, drills, and readiness of district emergency teams.
