Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a Campus Monitor to help keep district premises safe and secure and to support a positive learning environment at Catalina High School.

Responsibilities include observing student behavior, reporting safety concerns, and ensuring compliance with district policies. This 1.0 FTE position operates on a 12-month calendar, with an 8-hour day and no benefits for part-time (<30 hours) assignments. Preferred candidates have youth experience, conflict-resolution skills, and strong communication abilities.

• Clear written and verbal English communication; ability to read and comprehend instructions.

Minimum Requirements

• Two years experience working with 12-18 year old youth.
• Working knowledge in the area of conflict resolution/mediation.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

Requirements Prior to Start Date

• FBI fingerprint background check.
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

• Post-offer/pre-employment physical exam and lift test.
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Valid Driver's license (Arizona Driver’s License) required within 30 days of hire
• MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 — Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
• Satisfactory completion of phases I, II and III of Campus Monitor training within 90-days of hire.
