Job summary

A local educational institution is looking for a Truancy/Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of the school district. The ideal candidate will work closely with law enforcement and school administrations to address truancy and safety issues, and coordinate investigations related to harassment and other offenses. Candidates must have relevant certifications including Act 235 or Act 120, CPR, and First Aid. Strong communication, planning, and technology skills are essential. A valid Pennsylvania driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Must maintain valid certifications at all times.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the safety and security of the District.
• Coordinate Truancy matters for the District.
• Investigate harassment, bullying, and other possible offenses.
• Provide security for district events.
• Attend scheduled hearings with the courts.
