Job summary

Jennings School District is seeking a Security Personnel to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for students. You will serve as a liaison among district and building administration, law enforcement, teachers, parents, and students, supporting supervision and crisis planning.

Responsibilities include monitoring entrances, securing doors, conducting searches when directed, maintaining security logs, and reporting to the Safety & Security Coordinator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; college coursework or certification in security preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years working in security; working in a school environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with student supervision before, during, and after the school day (entries, dismissals, meal times).
• Serve as a district/mobile/stationary unit for monitoring student dismissals, traffic, and events.
• Assist with interventions and mediations with staff and students.
• Secure all building exterior doors at the start of the school day.
• Monitor hallways and other areas during and after passing periods.
• Be a key part of the district's crisis and emergency plans.
