Qualifikationen

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must conform to all requirements pursuant to the Code of Virginia and the Virginia Administrative Code for certification.
• Must receive the School Security Officer Certification and maintain certification by completing 16 hours of in-service training every two years.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the first impression of the school, direct visitors and help people navigate the building.
• Establish rapport with staff and community members through daily interactions.
• Lead de-escalation of student behaviors and assist with maximizing time on task in classrooms.
• Operate and maintain the building camera system for investigations.
• Maintain security records, logs, and reports as required.
• Assist with crisis and emergency procedures such as drills and evacuations.
