Job summary

Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking a School Police Officer for Middle School East in Collegeville, PA. This is a full-time, 10-month position (210 days) with an immediate start.

The officer will work under the Chief of Police to develop safety plans and protect students on campus. The role requires sworn officer status with arrest powers as defined by PA law, and completion of NASRO or approved training, plus ongoing firearms qualifications and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Completed basic training per 53 PA.C.S. Ch. 21 Subch. D or PA State Police Academy.
• Five years of continuous police service.
• NASRO School Resource Officer course or approved equivalent.
• MPOETC firearms qualifications annually.
• School Police Officer Field Training within 90 days of hire.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certification.
• Valid PA driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive safety plans with school admins, security staff and faculty.
• Serve as a sworn officer with arrest power per Pennsylvania Code.
• Support safety and welfare of students on school grounds.
