Atlantic City Public Schools is seeking a Safety Officer for a 12-month assignment at Atlantic City High School. The role involves supervising High School Safety Officers and, as needed, elementary and middle school Safety Officers, ensuring safety protocols and district policies are followed.

The position requires a High School Diploma and 5+ years in Federal/State/Municipal law enforcement, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 5 years in Federal, State or Municipal law enforcement.
• Endorsements/certifications as required by the Board.
• Prefer 5 years experience supervising law enforcement personnel.
• Computer literacy as a management tool.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with staff, students and community.
• Verbal and written English proficiency.
• Criminal history background check and proof of citizenship or resident status.

Responsabilités

• Supervises the High School Safety Officers and the elementary/middle schools Safety Officers as needed.
• Oversees daily safety operations and ensures adherence to district policies.
• Maintains safety incident records and reports as required.
