Atlantic City Public Schools is seeking a Safety Officer for a 12-month assignment at Atlantic City High School. The role involves supervising High School Safety Officers and, as needed, elementary and middle school Safety Officers, ensuring safety protocols and district policies are followed.

The position requires a High School Diploma and 5+ years in Federal/State/Municipal law enforcement, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 5 years in Federal, State or Municipal law enforcement.
• Endorsements/certifications as required by the Board.
• Prefer 5 years experience supervising law enforcement personnel.
• Computer literacy as a management tool.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with staff, students and community.

• Criminal history background check and proof of citizenship or resident status.

JOB GOAL: Supervises the High School Safety Officers and the elementary/middle schools Safety Officers as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma Required.
• Prefer, a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the field of Federal, State or Municipal Law Enforcement.
• Appropriate endorsement of all academy and training certifications and others as may be required by the Board.
• Prefer, five (5) years of experience as Supervisor of Federal, State or Municipal Law Enforcement personnel.
• Demonstrated competence to use a computer as a tool for management.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills working with staff, students and community members at-large.
• Effectively communicates and understands job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status.
