Job summary

Atlantic City Public School District is seeking a 12-month Safety Officer supervisor to oversee High School Safety Officers and district officers as needed. The role focuses on ensuring a secure school environment across Atlantic City High School and other district campuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in Federal, State or Municipal Law Enforcement preferred (5 years).
• Endorsement of all academy and training certifications as required by the Board.
• Experience supervising law enforcement personnel preferred (5 years).
• Proficient with computer as a management tool.
• Strong interpersonal skills with staff, students, and community members.
• Excellent English language verbal and written communication.
• Must pass background check and provide proof of U.S. citizenship or resident status.

12-Month Position

JOB GOAL: Supervises the High School Safety Officers and the elementary/middle schools Safety Officers as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma Required.
• Prefer, a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the field of Federal, State or Municipal Law Enforcement.
• Appropriate endorsement of all academy and training certifications and others as may be required by the Board.
• Prefer, five (5) years of experience as Supervisor of Federal, State or Municipal Law Enforcement personnel.
• Demonstrated competence to use a computer as a tool for management.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills working with staff, students and community members at-large.
• Effectively communicates and understands job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status.
