Stafford County Sheriff's Office seeks a Deputy Sheriff - School Protection Officer to guard a school campus during the calendar year. This part-time role requires current Virginia DCJS Law Enforcement certification, a high school diploma or GED, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualificações

• Must possess Virginia DCJS Law Enforcement Certification (Road/Patrol).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• U.S. citizenship and at least 21 years old at hire.
• Virginia driver's license and residency in Virginia.
• Pass physical agility, background and medical exams, polygraph, and drug testing.
• Prior road patrol experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Patrols assigned school to ensure a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain situational awareness of visitors and activities at the school.
• Respond to threats and emergencies; assist with lockdowns and drills.
• Conduct daily security inspections and report findings.
• Respond to radio dispatches and calls; make arrests if necessary.
• Subdue resisting suspects using approved methods; complete daily activity reports.
