Job summary

Waco ISD in Waco, Texas is seeking a Security Guard to protect students and staff and ensure compliance with school rules on campus.

Under supervision of the Police Supervisor, you will monitor areas, respond to incidents, conduct safety checks, and submit reports to district authorities. This is a full-time, on-site position with potential for various shifts and a commitment to student safety.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Texas Security Officer license or ability to obtain.
Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Knowledge of school safety and disciplinary rules.
Ability to record information.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
Ability to work with youth and adults.
Ability to pass physical, psychiatric, and drug tests.

Responsibilities

Monitor student behavior and enforce safety rules.
Assess behavior and respond appropriately to discipline.
Check areas for unauthorized personnel or movement of students.
Prevent vandalism/theft and disruptions between students.
Report criminal violations to the district Police Department.
Submit oral and written reports to school administration and district Police Department.
Refrain from inappropriate contact with students.
Work overtime and on shifts as assigned.
