Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office seeks a dedicated individual to promote the safety and well-being of students, staff, and parents in the school environment. The role operates with limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.

The position includes daily communication with school stakeholders, counseling on various issues, and conducting security and prevention activities. Relevant training and experience are required for success.

Qualificações

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documents.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from students, parents, and the public.
• Ability to effectively present information to groups and boards.

Responsabilidades

• Communicates daily with students, faculty, administration and parents.
• Counsels students on home, school and personal relationship issues including abuse and crime topics.
• Escorts the school to extracurricular activities at the school's request.
• Monitors and manages student behavior in the school setting.
• Performs security duties at athletic events.
• Provides crime prevention presentations to school and community groups.
• Attends hearings, PTO meetings and school board sessions.
• Conducts gang awareness and prevention classes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
