Job description

Position: School Registrar

Location: Stow, Massachusetts, Masters Academy International

Start Date: September 2026

Masters Academy International

Masters Academy International (MAI) is New England’s only school that intentionally integrates elite athletics with rigorous academics to prepare future leaders who excel in sport, scholarship, and life. Our academic program is built on precision, flexibility, and a deep commitment to student success within a complex, high-performance environment.

At MAI, the integrity of academic systems matters. Scheduling, records, reporting, and data accuracy are not simply administrative tasks; they are foundational to the student experience, faculty effectiveness, college placement, compliance, and institutional credibility.

The Opportunity

MAI is seeking an experienced Registrar to serve as the central steward of academic scheduling, student records, and institutional data integrity. This highly specialized role blends project management, systems thinking, collaboration, and discretion to ensure the school’s academic operations run smoothly, accurately, and on time. Working both independently and in close partnership with divisional leadership, admissions, operations, and academic departments, the Registrar manages complex scheduling processes, maintains precise student records, and produces essential academic outputs including transcripts, report cards, and enrollment data. The ideal candidate brings exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage long-term projects with fixed deadlines in a dynamic school environment. This position is well suited to a professional who enjoys building and refining systems, values accountability, and understands the high stakes associated with academic data in a Tier 1 independent school.

What You Will Do

In this role, the Registrar will lead the project management of academic scheduling for students, faculty, and shared spaces, preparing and maintaining accurate semester schedules while adapting to changes in enrollment, electives, and course offerings. Working closely and independently with the Director of Academics, Deans, Division Directors, and Admissions, the Registrar will refine course sections, manage scheduling resources, ensure appropriate student accommodations, and confirm that every enrolled student has a complete and accurate schedule. The Registrar will oversee student records and academic reporting, including the production and distribution of report cards and official transcripts, maintaining consistent academic standards and supporting divisions with testing records and internal reporting. The role also includes managing enrollment, re-enrollment, and withdrawal processes; auditing and maintaining student data across departments; serving as the primary point of contact for data requests and compliance; and ensuring the confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of all records. In partnership with divisional operations teams, the Registrar will support parent-teacher conference scheduling and family communications, while contributing to strategic enrollment planning by providing insights on trends, risks, and opportunities affecting enrollment and student records.

Who You Are

We are seeking a mission-aligned professional who is energized by MAI’s purpose and takes pride in supporting people engaged in meaningful, demanding work. The ideal candidate is detail-driven and systems-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for complex, mission-critical processes. Exceptionally organized and skilled at managing multi-phase projects with fixed deadlines, they communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with faculty, administrators, parents, and colleagues, exercising sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive student and family information. Calm, solution-oriented, and resilient during peak workload periods, this individual values continuous improvement, enjoys refining systems for greater efficiency and reliability, and believes that culture matters—actively contributing to a positive school community. Qualified candidates will bring prior experience in a registrar, scheduling, or academic records role (preferably in an educational setting), demonstrated expertise in academic scheduling, strong project management and analytical skills, and comfort working with student information systems and emerging data tools. A bachelor’s degree is required, with an advanced degree considered a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $70,000-$85,000. Benefits for eligible roles include medical, life insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, and more.
