Job summary

Community Health Network seeks a School Registered Nurse Ambulatory (RN) to provide health services for students at Greenwood High School as part of the Greenwood Community School Corporation. The nurse will manage chronic health issues, deliver health education and coordinate referrals as needed, supporting students’ physical, mental and social well-being during the school day.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN, CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA accredited nursing program, or 3+ years nursing experience.
• Licensed as an RN in Indiana (NLC).
• Two+ years of nursing experience required.
• Two+ years of pediatric nursing experience.
• Excellent team skills.

• Self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Provide health services to support optimal physical, mental, emotional and social growth for students.
• Care for students with chronic health issues and identify health needs during the school day.
• Provide health education, medication management, emotional support and referrals as needed.
• Support the education process by promoting student health and learning.
• Promote healthy habits and overall health to support maximum learning.
• Position located on the south side in Greenwood, Indiana, and will support Greenwood High School.
